If you try and go active, you aren't getting 17C or SIGINT in your contract. You will either keep your current MOS, or get something else, possibly 14 or 19 series right now. The army is offering me E-4 and a guaranteed 17C mos. That mos is very new which has its benefits and drawbacks. In the Navy, I believe I would come in as an E-3, however the Navy's CTN is a very established position and is highly talked about in military circles (or the 10 people I've talked to).
